The eight fold path according to Buddhism - Buddha's practical guide to end suffering and reach peace/enlightenment (nirvana)

  • Right View (or Right Understanding) See reality clearly — understand that life has suffering, why it happens, and that it's possible to end it.

  • Right Intention (or Right Thought/Resolve) Have good motivations: choose kindness, letting go of greed/anger, and harmless thoughts instead of harmful ones.

  • Right Speech Speak truthfully, kindly, and helpfully — no lying, gossip, harsh words, or mean talk.

  • Right Action Act in ethical ways — no killing, stealing, or harming others (including no harmful sexual behavior).

  • Right Livelihood Earn your living in a way that doesn't hurt people or animals (avoid jobs involving weapons, exploitation, poisons, etc.).

  • Right Effort Actively work on your mind: prevent bad thoughts/habits, stop them if they appear, grow good thoughts/habits, and keep them going.

  • Right Mindfulness Stay aware and present — pay clear, non-judgmental attention to your body, feelings, thoughts, and what's happening right now.

  • Right Concentration (or Right Meditation) Train the mind to focus deeply and calmly (through meditation), leading to clear, peaceful awareness.

While all of that sounds nice, and in fact much of it is in fact a great way to behave, the question is, will behaving like this get you into heaven?

There is nothing to prove any part of Buddhism is true, if fact, Buddhism does not have a official book, most traditions were passed on orally and nothing can be verified, it is hard to understand what Buddhists actually believe, because various groups believe significantly different things.

The bible on the other hand is a the most printed, and read book in the world. It has prophecy to validate it's claims, and does not contain contradictions.
